Inconvenient shortcoming

RELolley

While the app works pretty well, it is very irritating that the app cannot find my Amplifi system when I have VPN activated. In order to access my routers or Mesh Antennas, I have to turn off VPN. Why???

Good system that they keep jacking up

Just when they system starts working well they issue an update. Then all hell breaks loose for weeks. If you want a full time job working IT, get this system

Best internet I’ve ever had

William Duer

Living out in a rural area I’m only able to get broadband internet. It’s been a nightmare. The service only provides my household with 4.7 download speed and .067 upload speed - having WiFi that would come and go and I wanted a smart home it was extremely Frustrating. In 2017 I came across the Amplifi mesh network. I Love the Amplifi mesh network I placed the router box in my master room placed one of the extension plug ins 204 feet away to the second home on my land and it’s allowing me to have no hassle internet WiFi in both the houses I placed another plug in and it is reaching my driveway gate and cam that is 1609 feet from the box in my master bedroom. It almost covers 4acres of land with the 3 piece box set. I’m now getting ready to travel and I see I can purchase a New Teleport that I can plug in anywhere in the world and be able to access my home network. When I get the teleport and use it I will definitely leave a review. I love the AmpliFi Mesh Network its a no brainer and hassle free network.

Useful little app

MrM3000

Complements your Amplifi router exceptionally well. Using this app it’s a snap to set up and make changes to your router. It’s a straight forward layout with simple, clear options. You can pause internet on all or any devices that are connected to your WiFi and set up profiles for different usage, for example for kids devices so the internet cuts out at a certain schedule. You can also prioritize traffic to individual devices, though you only have three options: normal, gaming, and streaming. I like that you can see performance and basic statistics on WiFi connected devices but I wonder why such information isn’t available on the Ethernet ports. All in all, pretty solid!

Painless Functional

Great product. Extremely easy setup for a non techy person. Works great. No dead spot in my house or on my deck. No less than 2 bars anywhere in 4800 sq ft and 3 bars in 90+ % of the house and deck.

Glitch app when lots of devices

Brianv1234

I'm an IT guy and have lots of clients connected and remote access enabled. When I browse my client list it's always refreshing and hard to grab a particular client.

most reliable router I’ve used! App actually works!

TrajekBeats

I’ve had a ton of Wi-Fi systems that have apps to accompany them and AMPLIFI is by far the best when it comes to actually working and being reliable. I love being able to access my admin settings even when I’m not home thanks to remote access. I can do everything I need to do easily from this app and I can even rename my devices on the network to better identify them as well as pick their prioritization that Ubiquiti makes simple and intuitive! No complaints!

Nag screen

ericoff

The hardware product is working great. The app, though has this nag screen about setting up remote access that according to a chat rep can't be turned off. Seriously, it needs to have an option to never ask this again. I don't want remote access. I don't need remote access. I just want to use the app without nag screens ffs. It's an expensive product to have such a limitation.
