Still the best email client for DEVONthink To Go

February 28, 2021 10:28 AM Just tried the new privacy features. I love how I can read the text version of emails I trust enough to open and then see details on possible trackers. February 28, 2021 10:04 AM This is my only email client I use on my iOS devices and the only one I have found that can handle eml files. That is critical because I don’t store email on the email server but rather in DEVONthink where it can be organized with other project related files. Apple Mail on macOS works great for this but the iOS version of Apple Mail cannot. The AltaMail support team is one of the best customer service teams I have dealt with. I send in feedback and get an intelligent response within hours. If there is a fix needed, I usually see that in a few days. October 20, 2020 7:25 AM Now it can be my default client on iOS, nice! This has been the only email client I have found that can share eml files with other applications just like the Mac Mail.app does. That means I can configure a swipe action to send relevant emails to DEVONthink on my ios devices and be able to action on those emails on both ios and Mac. This has been a game changer for my workflow, because I no longer have to waste time searching for email to respond to. I just file them in DEVONthink in project related groups with OmniFocus tasks that are linked to DEVONthink entries. Now when it is time to follow up on an email, OmniFocus has a link to open that email in DEVONthink and then on ios I can Share that with "Copy to AltaMail" and then tap the attachment to have the email ready to reply or forward as needed. The best thing is this works similar whether I am on the mac, iPad, or iPhone. For some reason most ios email clients that can support Office 365 (Apple mail and Outlook) do not support the Share feature. When they do support the Share feature, they don't support eml file format. I could use Apple Mail on ios to print and then zoom in on the preview to share a PDF to DEVONthink, but I cannot open that later and reply to the original sender.

I been having issues w Office 365 as our email is on a pop server and office is a pain to get working. This has made life so much easier!!

I’ve used AltaMail Classic for years and it recently stopped working with the latest version of iOS so I upgraded. I had trouble with my attempts to get my POP account working. An email to support resulted in a quick solution by Melissa. The prompt and polite attention was appreciated. Thanks

I have been using this app for many years. I am not an expert in problems tha might arise with email problems, but when I have a problem I cannot solve AltaMail experts are quick to respond to my request and provide solutions in a few short hours. Don’t think you can find a better company or a better app then AltaMail. Know I will always use this app...
The most sophisticated options and easy to use

I have used quite a few mail apps and this is by far the most robust while being easy to use. Ability to customize many mail management features is highly useful. VERY IMPORTANTLY: This is the only email app that has enabled me to hide the vast amount of email clutter thus enabling me to quickly see the important emails which used to be like finding “needles in a hay stack”. This enables me to QUICKLY glance at the app for what I need (and must not miss) as my days are focused outside email and I do not have the time to manually cull the clutter. Custom notifications are great to have as they reach out of my phone to grab my attention. The extensive means of customizing email lit appearance is also a huge aid in quickly targeting the emails that need attention NOW.
