A Good Old nostalgic port

Back in the stone ages when cavemen ruled the earth, and dinosaurs roamed free, Richard Garriot laid the groundwork for the ultra popular Ultima series with Akalabeth, World of Doom, a game that was revolutionary because of it's open ended gameplay and strict resource management. The game has been brought over to the IPhone beautifully. All of the same graphics sound and difficulty are here, including the extremely annoying thieves and gremlins. These enemies steal your food and items, and even when you finally take them down, you CAN'T get your items back. Annoying enemies aside, this game is still very fun, and it's a fascinating piece of video game history. It's worth your $2.

Takes me back to college and my APPLE )(. This was the first game I played and it damn near took a point off my GPA! This is the original. Thanks so much for bringing back this game.

I never heard of this game. I didn't own a video game system until 1994, so this was before my video game knowledge. However, I love a great RPG and I have a great imagination. So as king as the gameplay engages me, I don't need fancy graphics. However, the old style keyboard with authentic computer clicks and beeps is just Fantastic! It appeals to me. This game is so much more fun than any other iPhone RPG's (except for Inotia2) and I wish there were more great RPG's on the iPhone. Even though the language is sparse, it is really really good. This RPG starts to engage you when you find items all over the place. Yay for awesome gamingness!!!
