Wifi Interference - Unuseable

The Wifi inference at Starbucks or similar, make this product unusable for steaming video- watching movies. Yes, even after changing channels as suggested.

I've had my Airstash for over 6 months and had read at the time I ordered it that we would be seeing AirPlay support with this device in the "near" future. I just downloaded the 2.0 beta firmware, installed it in 30 seconds and am watching a movie streaming from the AirStash through my iPad3 to my T.V. through my Apple TV as I write this review!! I do have a really good internet connection here so it took only a matter of 7 minutes or so for it to cache the entire movie. Keep up the great work with the updates!!! 10 Stars for the device + App!!

This app is great. However, when transferring large files (like videos) to/from Airstash, it would be nice if the app can be minimized without interrupting the transfer. This would free the iDevice so that other apps can be run while the transfer takes place. Currently, hitting the home button while uploading a video to Airstash will stop the upload and it has to be started all over again.

And they have no plans on fixing it. According to Airstash: "There are no plans to make this fix. All A01 units are out of warranty. We are hoping Apple will fix this in a later point release as this behavior is sloppy code on their part, but we cannot make a change to A01 to fix this as it is not a simple fix." Great. Glad I've got that little paperweight now. Let's see if you get any more of my money for your hardware.

Airstash in conjunction with Cinexplayer 's AVI streaming update makes this a very viable solution for watching / storing video files without taking up your ipad memory. Also excited to test SideLink allowing connections to Airstash and network wifi simultaneously.

I love my AirStash, and this app make it so easy to use. I use it mostly for photo transfer & management. I can take pictures with my Nikon and by putting its SD card in my AirStash I can easily import my photos to my iPhone using this app. From there I can edit and post, or just view them with the nice slide show feature. I can easily Export to my AirStash, too, which allows me to store all my pictures on SD cards, saving space on my phone. I've had no problems. Very happy with this app!
With new features just added, this is now a must have for me! Recommended

This product has really evolved in a wonderful way. All the features added with this latest update make this perfect for my needs… and also will allow me to import photos and video into my new Lightning connector device (iPhone 5 and iPad 4) without having to buy an adaptor or have to buy a new camera connection kit for lightning. Easily a 5-star app!

Admittedly I have not used this for too long but so far, incredible. It does everything it says and more. You can use it to store docs, PDF's, spreadsheets, movies, music, videos, photos, etc. then you can stream them to your iDevices - even separate files simultaneously. So you can annotate a PDF while one of your kids watches a movie and the other to music. It is like an extension or external, wireless hard drive for your devices. Incredible. And super simple.

Air Stash is a really convenient device and app is also good. Functionality of the app is good but I have one request about opening PDF. Now I have to wait to read a PDF until completing download, but if I can started to read it quickly, I'd be really happy.
