Nice native interface on top of the AirStash. I'm using it mostly to post images I take with my camera; I've had no issues with it.

This is a native version of the web interface with a few extra features. The primary helpful feature of the native app is the ability to bulk import an entire directory (like your camera's photo directory) into the iOS device's photo library. This is very helpful when the iOS device is the primary repository of media. A subtle feature of being a native app is native scrolling through the list of pictures. My camera puts a large number of pictures into a single directory, making traversing the directory tedious with the web app, but with native inertial scrolling, it's a snap to scroll through large directories.
Got my Airstash today. Love the device. Hate this App. And request Password protection.

I was waiting for this App to order my Airstash. Finally, I bought mine after the release of this App and got it today. Although I am very pleased by the device itself (besides that its a bit bulky for what I expected), the App in itself is really lame. I did not want it for pictures, as for that the apple camera kit is great. I wanted it for documents; PDFs and Word files, to get some real work done. And this App is useless for it. But thankfully Goodereader App does a great job. I was able to import files to it from Airstash device, open them in PDF Apps like iAnnotate and PDF-Notes, edit them, mark them and then send them back to Goodereader and then to my Airstash device. Similarly, for the Word file with DocToGO App. And it worked flawlessly. An amazing feature is that I can SYNC a folder between Airstash device and Goodereader. Its very very slick and is great looking ( although I dont like their App icon, Airstash+ atleast have a decent App icon). I really hope this App improves, it should be like the Goodereader App, otherwise its no good. And for a 100$ accessory they should atleast have such an App to support, if they want to sell it as much as I hope they do. Final words........the device is great, it opens the iPad to its real potential, as a document reader and editor.......but this App needs tremendous improvement. And please add password protection. All the best.

Great app and hardware! Use Goodreader or Filer to access and and edit files. I use this for work for taking forms to and from computers and my ipad. The only thing it is missing is an "open in" option in other apps so you can send files directly to it. That is the only reason i gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. Great app and a customer service who cares. Thanks

I picked up an AirStash early on, and it quickly earned a spot in my kit. Its terribly handy for everything from carrying some movies without dealing with sync'ing, to reviewing the day's pictures. The AirStash+ app makes it even better, and now that I can import photos, I don't have to carry my camera kit!

I had high hopes for AirStash, but the reality was disappointing. It has problems connecting wirelessly with my iPad, and once it does (which sometimes requires turning the iPad all the way off and back on again) it does't maintain the connection long enough to do anything with the documents on board. Guess I'll look into the Seagate. Update - taking the air stash outside, away from my wireless hub and micro cell tower did the trick. Thanks Airstash support.
Works Flawlessly!

I used this app with the Airstash device on a long trip this past month, and the combination worked flawlessly. I loaded over 2GB of PDF references as well as several movies onto the device before I left, and I found this external memory interface to be exceptionally useful. The connectivity and operation of the app were intuitive and fast, and the app provided me access to these large files without having WiFi Internet. In addition, my daughter was taking photos on the trip with her Nikon D5000 camera, and we were able to plug that SD card into the Airstash and view individually or see a slideshow of the pictures on the iPad later at restaurants and at the hotel using this app, without having to load any of them into iPad memory. I found later that two other apps I use often, Notability and iAnnotate, also support the WebDav protocol, and this allows me to export documents onto Airstash as well. I was recording talks and inserting photos in Notability on my trip, and this provides a way to back up or completely offload these large files from my iPad. The combination of this app and the Airstash device has become a convenient and reliable extension of my iPad. To the developers: Thanks!
Useful App but....

Excellent device and concept but the app definitely needs the thumbnail view for pictures. As an avid iPhoneographer, I (like many others I suspect) need that feature to quickly pick and choose the photo I want to post-process. Once implemented, I am sure a lot of 5 stars will come your way... Including mine!
