Surprisingly Utilitarian

This app was not available the last time we had ADT - such a bonus. Anytime we can Arm/Disarming etc. without pressing the buttons it is a big deal. Yrs ago those same ADT LOUD buttons ‘saved us’ as we watched a 2nd fl TV, in a condo. Our neighbors’ ADT beeping sounded ‘different’ that night... because it was a burglar trying to disarm our system! - FAILED, & caught! Thank you ADT. But now we don’t have to annoy our neighbors at 3:30am or 11:15pm. We use this app to quickly view the place first and then we disarm b4 quietly walking in. - Why not 5 stars? Because of setting limitations that would be helpful. Ex: changing how many times emails are sent for armed, disarmed, etc. . Truly happy with the app.

Worked for a while but won't update now

When I signed up for this app at the end of December it worked great. A little slow to upload details but nothing terrible. Then today I get a link to update, click the link to update and it takes me to the App Store where it says open, click open and it takes me back to the link. It's a loop. Won't allow me to update.

Don’t bother, it’s useless 90% of the time

This app has always been bad, but it’s not completely useless. I sat in front of my house for 5 minutes today trying to get the app to connect and disarm my system, and I STILL didn’t get it to work. It’ll time out. Operations will not execute properly and you will be waiting for minutes on an app that is advertised on being immediate access to your ADT system. Sometimes the app won’t load properly at all, and just quits without any sort of error message. Basically, don’t bother.

Ever since the update, it can’t connect, arm, or disarm the system. Total waste of time and battery life. No longer works with Alexa either. ADT is the only awful option where we live so what are we going to do? I guess we could buy a door but that’s just not practical...

October 28, 2017 New upgrade. Cannot login. Password and finger ID function do not work. Completely unreliable. Wish ADT spent a few more dollars on a reliable alarm system and working iPhone app rather than advertisement. Seems ADT is better at marketing than alarm systems. We are definitely looking at alternatives. I hope the thieves don’t realize how incompetent this company is or it will definitely be a boom time for thieves.

Update: if possible has gotten worse. My app/system hasnt recorded anything since the 15th. I have unpugged and unplugged even the router and the modem. I have been a customer for YEARS! Finally called tonight was told I guess we could send out a rep but if we do and it isn’t our issue you have to pay. AGREE W THE PREVIOUS REVIEW APPLE NEEDS TO TAKE THIS DOWN! When I first received the app it worked great. After the last two updates WORTHLESS! When I contacted them they pretty much had no accountability and stated they could see it worked. I was having trouble with camera clips within the app not showing the most recent one. They told me they could see I have clips saved and pretty much the tone of their email to me made me think I knew nothing about technology. Why would one want an app if this is true. I know for a fact coding and websites make apps for people and companies. Now when you try to access clips it just gets stuck on camera.
