The one who cares
Tbh, I, like pretty much everyone else, obviously preferred the app when there was free listening (yeah I first got this app back when I had a windows phone... long time ago; it was a genuinely great way to find music), but it's understandable that the makers would want to make it for profit (in times like these). It certainly makes me wish I appreciated how special and rare it was for this to have been totally free back then. Anyway, with that being said, I took quite a long break from this app when I realised it now had a premium (calculating how long I've had my iPhone, roughly about two years). I've come back because there's nothing I've encountered like it out there, and even if it now has restrictions and a price tag, it's still amazing. So a few complaints; obviously the 1 hour a week. Wayyy too small a quota. It was one of the reasons I got rid of the app in the first place. I think an hour a day would be much better (they might think it's too much so maybe an hour every other day or every three days), or raise the 1 hour a week to like 3 hours a week. Guaranteed more usage without making people turn away immediately. Second, I know this has been with the app for a long time, but I would love if it was possible to see the songs on the tracks before listening. Third, if there was a way to personally select playlists we've completed listened to, rather than just the app doing that (if it does; I can't remember rn and I rarely finish tracks with the one hour limit). Fourth, and this is especially important, being able to continue where we left off on an old track during prior listening. The one hour a week makes this very vital. This is probably the most important suggestion I'm making, and that I think can be done. I can't tell you how annoying it is to relisten to playlists I haven't finished all over again, and never make any headway because there's a limit on listening time. Thanks 8tracks for still trying. I do hope you read and take these suggestions to heart, especially #4, customer satisfaction and all ;)

I love the song selection that otherwise I’d never hear but I wish they add an ALARM CLOCK that we can wake up to . Please add an alarm clock feature ?

Even with the subscriptions you still have the skip and replay limit. I U.K. Complaint is if the internet connection dies for a few seconds it will skip songs and the songs skipped will count towards skip limit.

I was frustrated that they started charging money to use it for more than 1 hour a week so I bought a subscription. Well I'll click on a play list, it glitches out and crashes and Than I try and play it again and it says "sorry can't listen to a playlist more than once in an 8 hour period" nice 8tracks.... nice... or you skip a few songs "sorry can't skip more than 3 times" I click on a new playlist "sorry can't skip 6 times in a 24 hour period wait a day" why? I pay a subscription and can barely listen to music without all these set backs and limitations

I’ve used 8tracks since my freshman year of high school and beyond, for writing inspiration, for homework, for background noise, etc. Almost all of my favourite artists today, I’ve found through some weird aesthetic playlist in the back-end of a search tag. Despite some clunky UI and the occasional bizarre glitch, it’s overall a smooth and incredible service, and well worth the price for exposure to so much good music. Just glad I’ve got the space for it on my phone again!

App had some good music but was too frustrating to use. Always felt like I was clumsily tripping through it to find what I was looking for.

This app used to be great. One of the best free app for music. Why its not available all over the world? In website music are now played from youtube! Why use this app when I cant listed from youtube? Such a disappointment!

I love this app and I use it all the time for fanmixes. The one issue I keep running into on mobile is that only a few, maybe 10, playlists start showing up for certain tags. It would be really nice if you could continuously scroll like on the lap top, and it would be great if you could sort through them by recently added, most likes, etc. Also if you guys could put a feature on where you could add a mix into your own playlists. I can only do that on desktop as well. I know this was mostly complaints but I do love the app and i will continue to use it. Thanks a ton!
