Does not work with IP6

I have been using this app for couple of months. It was very good and useful until it needed to connect to remote DLNA server over IP6. This app on my iPhone will not connect to server. My DLNA servers are working fine. If my phone is connected to internet through Wifi, app can connect to DLNA server. I have contacted developer, however they didn't/couldn't resolve this issue. So, app is just sitting here useless!!

It's awesome but I need to play the files that are in my phone that I put under TV with iTunes how can I do that that's so important no sense in downloading files twice to make it work with your app other than that I give this app for stars

A lot of usability features need to be included in this paid version. One I immediately I need is the vertical BAR like menu which appears once click on an icon of landing page, must also be scrollable.

This is the only DLNA video-playing app that I know of that lets me lock video playback into landscape mode. The app is also very stable, not glitchy, which speaks a lot these days. It also works well with the DLNA devices/software on my network and has a pleasing UX. Love it.

Worked great for years. Now no longe discovers serviio dlna server. I thought it was the router or the server but another dlna app picked it right up.

I really love 8player as it has a simple and intuitive interface and plays everything from my home server via DLNA with ease! Whether I use my iPhone, iPad or AppleTV - I have a consistent and pleasurable experience! Their support is also excellent. I had a question on the Apple TV version and they responded really quickly. Overall great product and great support. I’ve removed all other players and this is my go to media app!
Stops playing music after a minute or two

Using this player with Chord Poly. I select Poly as the output and pick songs from Poly’s MicroSD card - it plays perfectly for about a minute or two and then no music is heard but the song counter continues. Then this app says cannot pause and the message has buttons missing. Bad app and a total rip off at $6.

Update: all flakiness has been fixed and it works better than ever! It is by far the easiest to use DLNA client I have tried. Simple and intuitive. It just works! The "Favorites" feature makes navigation of many the files on my DLNA drive much easier and I am particularly fond of the synchronization across devices. I use 8player on my iPhone and iPad and the app tracks where I am in a given video then updates that player data on the other device via iCloud. If you use DLNA, you need this app! -------------------------------------- Old review..... Gets flakier with each update. Now it takes forever to find the DLNA server and sometimes freezes during playback. VLC Mobile is not quite as simple to use, but at least it is stable.

User friendly, video and audio decoder are absolutely awesome (audiophile quality) better than Apple decoder. Worth every penny! I owned 4 apps before I found this app. I watched my videos and music over My Passport Pro (2.4 5.0 GHz) Western Digital WiFi Drive. Quality and Graphic designs are so well executed. I used it everyday! Thanks a lot! Highly Recommended!
