UX suggestions – Primo Kakuro HD Lite Review

I must say that I absolutely love Kakuro! This app, on the other hand is just so-so. First of all, the Play button for the game is completely hidden in the bottom left corner. You have to tap on the game number in the middle of the screen, which intuitively I would think would open the game, but then find the Play button in the bottom left. Secondly, there is an error-checking option that is set by default. You can enable and disable the feature in the in-app settings, but it's either off or on completely. With other apps I've played (check out the Real Kakuro apps), a cell would highlight as an error if your math was wrong for the whole row or column or if the number couldn't possibly work (like a 2 in a 4=1+3 situation.) This app, on the other hand, highlights any and all values that aren't the final and correct answer. With just 9 options for every cell, you can see how easy (and boring!) it would be with error-checking on. I definitely like the Real Kakuro apps better, but if you want new puzzles this app is okay. I will say this app seems more stable than the other, but then again I've also upgraded my iPad recently so that's probably the difference.
