Center grid box only?? – Camera FX+ Fotolr Review

It says optimized for iphone5 but was last updated in May? Has anyone tried it on a 5? It snaps a pic and only keeps the center grid, in preview it makes it the whole pic. Like the lenses and all but useless if you can't the pic too close.
