Can only use app on 30 matches – Penguin Pairs for Kids Review

My son likes this app, but when he tries to match 6, 8, 12, etc, there are only ? marks instead of animals for him to match. The app will only let him match the 30 matches, nothing less. Please fix. It gets him very frustrated.
