Mark MD, CPE – PINGMD Review

As a medical doctor that communicates daily via text and emails with patients because I am Personal Physician, I was looking for a HIPPA compliant means of communicating with patients and colleagues. I found it dangerous to use "codenames" or initials of patients when talking about a patient with a colleague, and i actually had a patient ask me "did u get that text pic and question i sent u yesterday?" I helped them look through their phone and we saw they had sent it to a different person, almost like my name!!! If the situation were reversed and i had exposed personal information or any privacy issues, close only counts in horseshoes and whatever the saying is!! The mixup from a doctor TO a patient could lead to a lawsuit, but most importantly, compromising the patients privacy, reputation, etc. I am not an employee of PingMD, so this review is not just a "fluff" rating. I am someone who researched what I wanted, found PingMD, and have found it to be AMAZING. The techno/customer support is above outstanding, and they have responded usually within the hour of questions I may have. The cards they sent me within 2-3 days of my inquiry ... Patients love them, simple instructions, sleek and clean looking card. I always tell the patient or colleague "i have no vested interest in this company... Wish i did because it is brilliant... But this is simply an amazing App that allows us to communicate in a HIPPA compliant, confidential manner that I have found works great. " I also emphasize to the patient that so far all of us doctors and patients texting and emailing back and forth, we have just been lucky one of our faces or info has not been blasted over the internet. So, obviously me and my programmer for my EMR are extremely pleased!! Dr. Mark
