Horrid battle system – Monster Lord Review

So I decided to overlook the massive lack of a proofreader to try to get into the game. The game decided that, aside from not labeling any controls, it would also like to throw me into a brick wall of a difficulty curve. Traditionally with this kind of game you make the monsters in the first area weaker or at least on par with the player's monsters, ie Pokemon. Not only was I sent against a larger group than I can muster (for some inexplicable reason) but my monsters had to defend after every attack, sometimes for 3 turns. There was no enjoyment to be had and I saw no reason to continue.
