Rating & Suggestion – Monster Lord Review

-Updated 2017 rating & suggestion- Still love this game. I usually play it during my down time, but I don’t invest too much time into it at the moment since there’s eventually a glitch where I’m unable to log into the game. By pressing the reset game on the lower right hand corner, I’m able to play the game again. However, that’s until it happens again. Logically, that doesn’t effect me all that much, but it would be nice if I can fully collect everything before resetting the game instead of the game forcing me to reset. I get this is an old game, but perhaps just fixing the problem when the game gets to a point where when I try to enter the game, the app forces out and only solution is to press the reset game button. It usually happens late game or when a good amount of time passes in terms of game time. I’m not sure if it was intentional or not, but it would be great to have it fixed. Higher level cap would be great too. Level 50 is a bit prehistoric now. A second game would be great too! I’ve seen your newer game “Goblin’s Shop” is doing fairly well too. Hopefully you, the developer, may consider fixing this little problem eventually. Or even a second edition of Monster Lord. I can’t find any old nor new games that is similar to this game or as unique as it is. You have something great going on. The monsters are quite balanced too so depending on combination of monsters can really change the tide of the battle and manual game play instead of the auto. Now, to talk about game itself. The game is basically a 2D idle game in a sense, by you have a lot of control over things so that’s nice, like ally monster attack, formation, spells you want them to cast and not cast, artifacts to equip. There isn’t much a story line though, but the art is beautiful for a 2D. The music is captivating too. Quite simplistic game overall. Art: 10/10 Story: 4/10 Music: 7/10 Mechanics: 9/10 Idleness: 8/10 Strategic: 6/10 Glitch-less: 6/10 Grammar/spelling: 7/10 Originality: 8/10 (Considering age of game) Addictiveness: 10/10 Overall: 6.5/10 Personal rating: 8/10 *If I didn’t really consider all the details all that much. It’s simply good game, but once you get to end-game, there isn’t really any update. Though, if you’ve conquered all the lands, upkeep of the land (protecting it) does take some effort so upgrading them would be a bad idea since more work is necessary. Lost 2 rating from my personal due to the one glitch I mentioned and the other is because there’s no update to patch it or even increase in cap level just because it’ll be nice to actually fully conquer the game instead of there being some blind spot in the game where some aspects of the game isn’t fully achievable. Nevertheless, love the game. If you, the developer, do ever update, I’d like to support you further. Thank you for reading and considering, good day. -Feel free to reply here or contact me if need anymore recommendations or helps. ——————————- -2015/2016 rating - I've playing it for the last few years, it's still fun. Though haven't been a whole lot of update. Most mythical creatures has already been put into the game (mainly Greek) so it's bound to have a limit of different monsters, but there's still possibility for Chinese, Japanese, and other mythical monsters and stuff to be updated into it. And maybe expand the land. Be great to have a bigger map. Otherwise, a sequel to this game is good too. Added more items too be great. Most won't need to spend a cent on the game, but by spending, you do allow the developers know they should continue. Regardless, it's possible to complete the game without iap. I simply love this game though. It's underrated some could say. All the more reason you should try it.
