seriously guys? – Plants vs. Zombies™ Review

the original version of this game is phenomenal. this is a disgusting shell of its former self. the original app was the actual game in its full glory, a direct port of the pc version. through several updates it is clear the developers restricted access to its features behind paywalls and ads in order to milk nickels and dimes from its userbase. imagine playing the original resident evil but you have to either pay $5 or watch an ad before jill gets the grenade launcher. that’s this game. what’s even sadder is that on my iPhone that’s still on ios 10, I still have complete access to the entire original game just as it can be played on steam or origin or, heck, the physical copy. they have literally removed content from this app, in the interests of ad revenue. shameful.
