Terrible Printer/App Compatibility – HP Smart Review

I have tried for 8 hours to print a simple photo from my iphone via the HP Smart app with my new HP Envy printer without success. I get continual error messages of the printer being low on paper despite having 50 pages of brand new HP paper loaded or of the printer being busy and printing with absolutely nothing happening. I’ve spent 7 hours on HP support via facebook messenger with zero progress. I have uninstalled all apps and printers and drivers countless times to no avail. Ready to smash the printer and app with a baseball bat. I am however able to print word documents from my laptop to the printer. So the issue is somewhere in the connectivity with the HP Smart app.
