Plex on iOS: what happened? – Plex: Watch Live TV and Movies Review

My Plex app has stopped working for me. I’ve used Plex Media Server and this app since the very beginning (2010?), and been an enthusiastic fan. But as of about a week ago, the iOS app stopped being launchable entirely: at best I just get the splash screen, then sometimes the skeleton of my library but without the thumbnails being filled in. Nothing clickable. In short, unusable. But the Plex client works fine on other platforms, such as my Smart TV. Googling, I find that this breakdown appears to have occurred as of late January 2022. When will it be fixed?
