Steep learning curve, but worth the effort – Daylite 4 Review

This was the second time I gave Daylite a try. As it turns out, I didn't give myself enough time to learn the program the first time. The true power of Daylite comes from the ability to link contacts to opportunity, categories, events and especially emails. Once the preferences are set up and contacts imported, it becomes a powerful tool, with everything about an opportunity in one place. Subscribing to other calendars lets you see all appointments in one interface and Daylite syncs back to iCal so both programs will show you your up to date calendar. Plan on watching all of Marketcircle's tutorial videos and then spend some quality time learning the interface. Plugins - This is an area I look forward to seeing grow. The most interesting one is the Geo Plug in, but I wish it would do more than just show a radius of nearby contacts. It would be great if you could integrate a map into an appointment for directions, show a small map for a contact, next to their address and perhaps even show all the locations where events took place for a specific opportunity or project. Overall, I'm glad I gave Daylite another try. I have found a few bugs. Clicking on an attachment from an email imported from Apple mail has caused several crashes. Some attachments show as icons, but won't download from mail when I click on them. Not a bug, other than it bugs me, once I set up the tab shortcuts, I can't lock them, so if I click from Companies to an event in the left pane, the tab changes to events, for instance. Would be nice if these would remain locked and maybe have a way for me to just click into a lesser used option without changing my tab. I guess that's what updates are for. Marketcircle has issued regular updates and their support is excellent; unlike another program I tried for two months before giving up on it. James Spencer is a great example of quality customer support.
