Venmo misrepresents buyer protection – Venmo Review

I recently made a purchase and which the seller ghosted me never shipped.Prior to the purchase verified via Venmo there was a fire protection program.I contacted customer support after the payment.They said there was nothing I could do. That I did not select a particular box at checkout.This is very misleading and confusing. I looked for the box at check out expecting it to be on the next screen. However, there was no “next screen” and the purchase transaction was complete. Subsequently, I have spent over 14 hours trying to chase down the seller without success. Supposedly my case went to the next tier of Venmo customer support who has yet to contact me and is conveniently for them only available though email. Clearly by the negative reviews Venmo does not resolve their customer’s issues and grievances without major burden to the customer. If anyone is doing a class action lawsuit against Venmo for their misrepresentation of their buyer protection program, please contact me @: xlist321 at gmail dot com. These companies need to be held accountable.
