Used to Love them – Acorns: Invest Spare Change Review

When I first got Acorns I completely fell in love with them—how brilliant is it to invest your spare change instead of littering the rug of my bedroom? Then I got a chance to make a thousand dollars by referring 5 friends to Acorns. Now this is usually not my style, I just don’t like being pushy, but I was so excited I went out of my comfort zone and referred five of my friends, and I felt great, in fact, I had more friends to refer! Lots more! This is where Acorns really made me mad. The link I forwarded them was the link right NEXT to the incentive program. It said, “Refer 5 friends and earn $1000!” And then the Share Button (I have screen shots) So in good faith, I hit the share button, referred my friends who all started accounts, contributed, texted me back to make sure I got the credit, and guess what? I never received a dime. No credit for lil ole me. Why not you may ask? Because the actual link for me to get credit was on an entirely different page. The Share link right next to it was for something completely different, a gimmick in my opinion, and that, friends, is what I call SHADY. Why put a Share button right next to the incentive program and not have it count? I emailed, called, emailed some more but all to no avail. All I can do is write this review so that’s what I’m doing. I’d recommend a puddle of rat urine in the middle of the street before I recommended Acorns. Thanks for the glance, ~Disheartened
