Love it, but … – Migraine Buddy: Track Headache Review

I love Migraine Buddy, I really do, but I can’t figure out the best way to use it for my needs. I have tried it off and on for years. I have a headache or migraine 24/7 so the “attack” never goes away. The pain levels fluctuate and it will go into a migraine. If I had my perfect app, I would like to be able to record the pain level and symptom changes throughout the day as well as when it goes into a migraine. I know this is possible in the Notes section, but I would like to be able to see this data in a report where my doctor can see the changes my head goes throughout the day, at what time I took medicine or tried a specific relief, and how the numbers changed after trying this or that. I don’t want to go back through each attack and look through the notes section to find when my pain levels or symptoms changed. It would also be nice to see my average daily pain level numbers. It’s almost like I need to be able to edit my original entry (like we can now), but then also add to it as the day goes on. For me, I don’t necessarily care how long my attack goes (because it is always 24/7), but how it changes through the day and from one day to the next. I don’t even know if it is possible, but if anyone can figure it out, it is Migraine Buddy. So far, I feel Migraine Buddy is the best migraine app out there (I’ve tried A LOT), but it just isn’t meeting my needs at the moment. However, through the years I have seen so many positive changes with the app. You can really tell how the developers are trying to make this app meet our needs. Once again, I stopped paying for the app and went back to the free version. I’ll continue to use it for just the migraine attacks as it works perfect for that, but not for my day in and day out headaches.
