Has potential but be warned… – Killing Kiss : BL story game Review

EDIT… I made a review a couple days ago but I have since finished one of the routes and have some stuff to add/change. I still maintain that they push you to purchase packs. I will say however that the price isn’t terrible and ad removal is a game changer. I only needed to buy one double diamond pack with ad removal to play through the entire game with all characters love meters maxed out by the end(missions and puzzle pieces are your best friends). The story itself was fun but I ran across a few issues. Firstly, sometimes I feel like the story is missing scenes. Characters will make reference to things that I don’t think ever happened or at least didn’t happen on screen. It makes things confusing at times. Secondly,⚠️ Trigger warning ⚠️, more than one of the love interests end up sexually assaulting and one even raping Ryu(looking at you Clark?). It doesn’t matter what choices you make, it’s unavoidable. Then afterwards Ryu still interacts with them far more casually than he should. It’s trying to straddle the line of romantic and abusive and personally I found it uncomfortable. The only character that consistently respected and cared for Ryu was Hazel but they did him so dirty. Spoilers— I don’t even know how he ended up in the finale, there was never a scene of us finally giving him the vaccine or picking him up from Mark’s place. He’s just suddenly there unconscious at the broadcasting station if you choose his ending ?Anyways, it was fun and the art was really nice, I also like how easy to navigate their user interface is. I just wish the characters and story were a little more polished at times.
