Zero Customer Service – Wally - Smart personal finance Review

I had used the legacy app for quite a while in the past, and though it was simple, it fulfilled all my basic needs. But don’t get me started on the update, and coming here to make this review, I see that I’m not alone. I’ve experienced glitches and bugs, disappearing transactions that I have entered, some of the migrated data was missing, app crashes. I sent an email to address these issues but of course no reply, so I deleted the app. A year or two later I downloaded it again hoping perhaps the issues were fixed, but the app kept crashing upon sign in, every time without fail. Another email, and still no reply. But the thing that really brought me here, was the marketing stunt they pulled off a few days ago. I first received an advertising email mentioning wally’s new features for 2022 and so forth. It was followed by an email from Wally’s CEO and Co-founder Saeid M. Hejazi apologizing for the wrong email as it was intended to new comers, and as an apology gift, he offered a free Premium Gold upgrade (which was a weird reason for an upgrade but ok) if I clicked on a link to download the app, and it will be activated automatically upon setup. I gave it one last chance and downloaded it, finished setup and voila, my account was still as “basic” as ever, no auto upgrade, and the option to upgrade still appeared with a price. And a cherry on top: it slowed my phone while it’s open. I deleted it, sent an email replying to the CEO about my disappointment with false advertisement (not my first time, not expecting a reply) and came here to leave this bad review, Wally, I’m done.
