Awesome idea, very disappointing execution – Burner: Second Phone Number Review

I have really been trying to use this app for as much as possible for the last 9 months or so. It *could* be an excellent tool for protecting privacy. But it so incredibly unpredictable that I 100% will not be renewing my subscription and will uninstall the app after my current subscription expires. Off the top of my head: - At the instant at which a call is incoming, this is a very very bad time to re-verify my phone number. Rather, prompt me after the call completes. At the moment, that incoming call cannot be answered until I re-verify my phone number. Hence, the call is missed. - 80% of calls are missed because the app takes too long to (1) forward the call to my device (2) open the app and setup the voice communication after I press the "Answer call" button - 99% of the time the call audio is forwarded to the wrong communication device, e.g. if I have my large bluetooth headphones on, the call will be sent to my small bluetooth headphones, or to the small speaker on the phone when I am expecting it to go to my headphones, and hence I need to iterate through every audio possibility every single time a call comes through (which, again, only really occurs with ~20% of calls) - Using the "in-app" call mode is so much more buggy than the telephony / carrier-network call mode, but the carrier-network call mode has a ~1.5 second delay - just enough delay for me and the person I'm talking to to talk over the beginnings of each others' sentences. - If I am using the in-app call mode, and I am in a call, and the person I'm talking to wants me to recite the phone number that I am currently calling from, and I do not have that number memorized or recorded somewhere else, then I must hang up with that person => check the what number is => write it down somewhere => call the person back => tell them the number. There are little oversights like this everywhere, which tells me that the developers of this app probably do not actually use this app. - If I have a number set to carrier-network calling, then an incoming call starts with a repeating voice "Press 1 to connect the call, or hang up to reject it". Oh my good god, why?? I answered the phone. This is my acceptance of the call. This, on top of how long it takes the Burner network to forward the call to my device, means that the caller has likely sat through about 10 rings, while I have only received one or two rings. Burner people: I want this app to work as advertised. After this subscription expires, I will not use your product for at least the next two years, while I try out other solutions. I hope in two years when I try your product again, it works as expected, and I can become a lifetime customer of yours. However, as-is, this app and it's services are a sore disappointment.
