LiveNation/Ticketmaster is the most corrupt monopoly in existence – Live Nation – For Concert Fans Review

Tickets are promoted by LiveNation and sold by Ticketmaster. The two companies merged a decade ago and are now one in the same. They absolutely dominate the market, and you can’t see anything except through them. Despite charging absolutely unconscionable fees ($272 for 6 tickets), it’s impossible to talk to a human being. They’ve ended all phone support, and their email support is run by some AI program that just keeps repeating the same useless information. The information provided by email is based purely upon whatever option you choose from the required drop down subject menu. No one reads your typed-out message. It’s almost funny that LiveNation gives human names like “Rachel,” “Chito D,” “Andrew,” “Anthony T,” “Veronica V,” etc. in its responses. Coincidentally, Anthony, Veronica, Rachel, and all of the rest of these *real humans* have the exact same response VERBATIM, and none of the responses pertain to what I asked. One of my messages only said: “If you’re a human being, please say the words’ I am a human being’” somewhere in your response.” In response, the *real human* “Chito D” replied with the exact copy pasted generic statement about “being sorry for my troubles” as everyone else. Here’s the cherry on top: I got so sick of dealing with Ticketmaster/LiveNation’s computer program that I decided to reach out directly to the concert theatre themselves (the Tabernacle in Atlanta). I kid you not, the theatre’s email tag ended with “@livenation.com.” In response to my email, I got another copied and pasted generic paragraph telling me I needed to contact - yep - LiveNation. Now, I have paid $1,800 for 6 concert tickets that LiveNation will neither discuss nor provide. From what I read online, the only possible way to get a human from LiveNation is to dispute the credit card charges in which event suddenly LiveNation notices you and fights vociferously to prevent you from getting your money back. It might mean I never attend a concert again, but I’ll never use Ticketmaster/LiveNation again as long as I live.
