Renewal Is Absolute Misery – Trend Micro Mobile Security Review

I have three devices, a Windows PC, an iPad and an iPhone. I spent three hours renewing and am not certain that all is well. On the PC the main program console in one place says that only the PC is protected and invites me to protect other devices. At another location the main console says that all three devices are protected. On the iPad, the main console shows that device only as protected. On the iPhone, the main console shows iPad and iPhone protected but not the PC. It should take at the outside ten minutes to renew and information provided to the user should be absolutely consistent across devices. Trend Micro meets neither condition. It does not even come close! The product offers automatic renewal. It is on in my setup. However, nowhere can I get to any information as to which credit card it will hit. Trend Micro is the only program I’ve ever encountered that features this bit of incompetency. Perhaps the information is there (I went looking multiple times) but if there, it’s very cleverly hidden from the user. On the lighter side, an English language page on the PC asks if I’d like translation from the Portuguese. I recall this little bit of idiocy as being present on prior visits to the main console in years past. I’ve used this product as a protection tool for years and believe that it works in that regard. The renewal process was a bit problematic in last time but it has really gone down hill. I’d look for something else but for the fact that a different product is well, who knows?
