No replay value. – Rock Run : Endless Star Runner Review

Decent enough game but it doesn't do anything special. There is no "wow" factor at all. I can tell that this is going for the classic arcade game feel but how can it be an arcade game if its not exciting and lacks any kind of charm. If you're going to make a game this so pretty, instead of 8-bit, it needs some kind of story or draw. The only time I die is when the game makes it impossible for me to collect a star in a chain, so why would I keep playing? Also why am i collecting shiny gold metal stars as apposed to fuel, minerals or crazy power ups? Most of the graphics are great, the music is ok, but IMHO the sound effects are bad. I feel that this developer hasn't played the popular games he is trying to emulate or compete with. It feels out of touch. It's pretty slow and boring until very far in the game, how about once you pass a certain distance you start over from that point from now on? What if you spaced out the "rocks" and stars a little more and made it faster and more intense? This is a start, but this game needs a programming overhaul.
