Review: Take Two (Stars) & Still Disappointed – Mageo Review

Hmm, it seems my review from a few years ago has disappeared. I'm more than happy to write one again: this is a disappointing game. The visuals are the ONLY reason this earns two stars. The game itself is confusing, and even after an instruction screen was added it did little in explaining the goal. Gameplay seems largely luck-based. The concept of meeting creatures and inhabitants on other worlds in a Steampunk universe is appealing, but it feels like the developer stopped at the visuals and didn't bother to make play fun or give any sense of achievement. Finally, my statement of some two years ago still stands: no one is going to drop FORTY DOLLARS on power-up outfits in this game! There is no opportunity to earn alternative currency to obtain the outfits. Honesty it's a shame, because this could have been a top app had any effort or consideration gone into gameplay. Instead, we got an eye candy money grab attempt with a boring logo.
