Greedy AND incompetent – MARVEL Strike Force: Squad RPG Review

Short-sighted, egregiously greedy, and needly artificially restrictive game. Multiple bottlenecks to character advancement. Unlocked a new character? Not so fast. First, leveling the character to usable levels is gated behind steeply accellerating Gold requiremente. Got gold? Not so fast. Now you need to accumulate Training Materials. These materials are often not even available in large amounts for sale! Got training materials? Not so fast (again). Now you need “gear” for 6 slots. First blue gear, then purple, then tier 13, tier 14, then tier 15. Tier 14 gear is available in “raids” that require tier 14 gear, but tier 13 is mostly ONLY available by purchase at $14.99 per 10 pieces, each character needs 60 or more of these bits. Got your gear? Not so fast. Now you need to level up their Gold Star rank. Now you have to wait until you can get a lucky pull on a Red Stars Orb, or wait until the character you want to advance appears in the Red Star store. NOW!!! Factor in bugs, crashes, programming errors, mistaken information provided, and it is clear that Scopely is shamessly greedy, myopically shorted-sighted, AND utterly incompetent. And they do not care. Not at all.
