Too much work to save $5 – DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse Review

I had a birthday reward. When I tried to check out using the reward number I was advised it was invalid or had already been used. I had just received it. I couldn’t use it. Did two online chats. The first online chat I thought was successful until I tried to check out. It still did not have my birthday reward after I was assured it had been put on. I went to bed. The next morning I tried again online. Started my second chat. This actually told me that I had two accounts and the birthday credit was on the other account. That was a very old account that I thought had been closed years ago. I was told the accounts could not be combined. I was assured that the account that had my birthday reward on it was active and the order I was placing on my other account was transferred over so all I had to do was check out. That didn’t work. Finally I called customer service. Very nice person. She was able to close the first account which was the old account and let me work in the account where my order was located. Unfortunately it took me another 45 minutes to get that account to work first telling me one of the pairs of shoes was not available and then not allowing any of the credits to work. Again after 45 minutes I was able to place my order. That was too much work for two pair of shoes that I didn’t need. Not sure I’ll go through this experience again. Angie Obergfell.
