Scam beware – TeamViewer QuickSupport Review

I am having trouble with my MacBook and was Googling Apple care phone numbers and they came up. When I called they said my account was locked out after they had me download this app. This app lets them access your phone! This was a first for me and usually I pick up on scams, but assumed at first that they were legit cause I looked them up. They did NOT answer as Apple though so it’s totally on me. Let this be a warning to anyone else looking for tech support help. They had me log onto my bank account app to see if a dollar was posted. I questioned them on this and closed the app quickly and said there was nothing there. I hung up on them and they did not call back. Going to have to monitor everything for unauthorized charges now, but my Apple Pay was to a old canceled debit and my other card is attached to a different bank so hopefully I didn’t give them enough information or time to steal information. I feel so stupid now....
