Claiming to be Amazon fraud support team – TeamViewer QuickSupport Review

I was contacted today by a gentleman who claim to be in the fraud department of Amazon. He said that my account has been compromised and somebody in Germany is trying to make a purchase of an iPhone for $700 and that my IP address has been compromised. They are using this app to be able to access peoples screen to gather information claiming that they work for Amazon to protect the IP and network from potential fraud and hackers. Me being a big Amazon user and trust Amazon this guy seemed legit, after the demeanor has changed when I wasn’t being cooperative and him being pushy I decided to pull back a little bit and tell him that I was not comfortable with allowing him to access my screen and information he then proceeded to demand me to download this app to be able to access my phone to secure the network. I then hung up with him and called Amazon directly, confirmed it was not Amazon. Please be careful guys I don’t know what information he was able to gather from this but I did go and secure everything on my phone and change everything so just keep in mind things and people are out there to get you and they will go to any links to trick you. I also pass the number along to Amazon and it is being investigated and looked into I will post the number here in the comments and I called the local police department as well and reported them to the fraud claims- +1 (206) 424-1327
