Absolute Garbage – TCF Bank Review
Between the app/my accounts telling me I need to update when there is none/already did, to my accounts NEVER being correct unless I just stop spending money, to the fact it takes 1-3 weeks for their check deposit via app to process.
This is a garbage fire:
- Balances are never correct
- Login consistently broken, slow, or just buggy
- MAJOR downtime (I think in a 3 week stretch, the app was maybe working a total of 4 days total)
- NEVER trust the balance you see (yes, I’m saying it again)
- It’s possible to get stuck in screens and requires an app quit and restart
- Forget support, the numbers are either offline or the wait is over 2 hours (and I’m talking just related to this app, my last wait time for attempting to call in regards for my account was almost 2 ½ hours and I just hung up because I was tired of waiting)
- Just because you set your settings in the app, doesn’t mean it actually set (confirmed with TCF bank staff in branch)
- DO NOT USE IN-APP SUPPORT, they do not respond (took over a month just to get help with an address change in-app)
This is just what I can think of. There is PLENTY more wrong between the Bank and the app.
