excellent beginning, overpriced – Reverse Chord Finder Pro Review

The dev may no longer be working this app apart from bug fixes/os updates (which makes the price curious), but here goes... ----------------------- Don't get me wrong, it's the best of its kind, but not by far. There are other apps that will take you to this point, though the simplicity of basic use along with a sensible interface are a big plus. And it's probably enough if you're playing simple songs and need one or two chords, or if you have an amazing memory. (In which case you probably wouldn't need this, you'd already "get" it.) ----- BUT ----- In the interest of meaningful learning and retention... - There really does need to be a quicker way to access the chords in the favorites folder without bouncing back out to the list for each change. Ideally appearing either randomly or in an order that can be edited in the folder. Helpful for chord progressions, memorization and understanding of related chord "families." - With the above, ability to arrange chords in multiple sets and flick through in the order they're stored would be huge. Again for setting up seperate progressions and related chords. - A quiz function would be lovely. Nothing fancy, just randomly presenting chords from a folder. Wouldn't even have to hide the chord name... a little discipline would do it. - And an option to hide the reduntant 2nd line of the naming section @ the top would be nice... after a while you shouldn't need to be told that "G/D" means "G Major, second inversion." At least as an option. --------- With these additions it would NOT be an overpriced app.
