Message notifications when I have none! – Messenger Review

Man this used to happen just every so often, but now, I will get a notification at the top right hand side of the Facebook app on the messenger icon, and there will be no message ANYWHERE. I’ve looked everywhere (trust me). I have tried uninstalling the app MULTIPLE times (this will be the 4th I believe) and it will resolve maybe for a few days and then again with the notification icon. It’s so frustrating. I have contacted support with no response.
