Do not use this bank for budgeting – Simple - Mobile Banking Review

Long story short: fraud, money stolen, terrible customer service. My partner and I were eager to open a Simple account to manage our expenses. We both had scheduled deposits into our Simple account, when I found several fraudulent charge attempts on our joint, unused account. I was able to cancel my deposit, but my partner was not (it was already in process at the bank). When I closed our account (again, due to FRAUD), I asked the agent if that money would land in the Simple account. She said that the check would bounce and stay in the original account. The transfer to Simple still went through, despite closing our account. Now, my partner is out of $1500 because Simple refuses to give the money back. She has talked to their customer support numerous times, who say it is her original bank who has the money. The original bank says the money has already been transferred. You could not pay me to use this bank again.
