Not Ready for Prime Time – Text Image Review

I like the concepts behind this app. Unfortunately, the concepts are poorly implemented. So poorly that it is amazing that this app made it through Apple's review process. This app fails to meet Apple's Human Interface Guidelines. Even more amazing, is that the programmer has written several other apps! The app has no built in documentation. The user interface is NOT intuitive or friendly. The few fonts and materials are nice, but their attractiveness is quickly negated by the difficulty and awkwardness of the app. I liked the effect of using a text mask with a background image. But this app makes that process difficult. With about two minutes of tinkering, I figured out how to achieve the same effect using Inkpad. (A truly GREAT app that allows importing and using almost any font!) As far as support is concerned, forget it. The author's website is a WordPress blog that just advertises his other apps. No e-mail address for the author is available. Bottom line, this app has good ideas and intentions, but it fails to implement them in a nice, productive way. However, this is version 1.0 of the app. Once the author polishes it up a bit, it has the potential to be truly useful. I look forward to that polished version. Note to the author: Please examine the Photogene and Inkpad apps to see their nice user interfaces. Please read about "localization" and add it to your app. Finally, please find someone fluent in English and have them proofread the text in your app and the app description here in the App Store. Thank you.
