Do not buy – OnSong Pro Review

OnSong did not connect to their additional Console app. My requests were ignored by OnSong support. I issued several trouble requests over several days. When OnSong finally replied, they instructed me to wipe the Network Settings in my brand new iPad. This made the iPad useless and unable to connect to any WiFi. This was not repairable by me. I had to return the iPad. I strongly advise NO on this app. Additional after OnSong demied responsibility: OnSong LLC: Thank you for your prompt reply. Easily, four to five times faster than your support staff ever replied. And there were no spam filters or email server issue here – perhaps yours is faulty? I’ll be clearer about the problems I encountered with your software and support staff. Immediately after purchasing Console, I received a registration email from you. This email contained a link, which you asked me to click to verify this registration. I clicked that link. Then opened Console, and WAS able to connect. But the next time I tried to use Console, it would not connect. I eventually tried re-opening that registration email and again clicking the verify link. THEN Console WOULD connect. Every time I wanted to connect Console, I had to re-open that email and click that verify link. This was a hassle, and I notified your support staff. As stated in my previous review, your staff ignored my issue for quite a while. I issued another request, and it was ignored again. I issued another request, your support staff finally replied, but they did not understand what I was describing. (Contained in their initial reply was “What email?”) After more emails and more support requests, they FINALLY understood that I had to re-open the email and click the verify link EVERY TIME I wanted to connect to Console. Then two things happened: 1) the link no longer enabled me to connect with Console. The verify link stopped working. 2) they directed me to do this: “Please try rebooting your web browser (on your computer) while trying to connect. You can do this by tapping the shift key on your keyboard and the refresh button (by the URL section) on the browser. It'll reboot you page and you should be able to connect. If not, try going into your devices (iPad) settings app > general > reset > reset network > follow prompts > open OnSong > Console > enable and make sure you are using the same URL provided.” The silly suggestion about tapping the shift key did nothing. So I did their second suggestion. As you can see in their instructions they did did NOT offer any warning such you state in your message to me. “which we do warn will automatically forget stored network passwords if performing this step” The result was the iPad was NOT ABLE to connect to the WIFI router. It denied the password every time, though the password was 100% correct. I tried with a neighbor’s router, but that router denied the password also. I googled the issue and found MANY youtube videos and forums from MANY people with this issue. This rendered my iPad inert. I will repeat: your OnSong and Console apps are flaky, your support staff is inept, and your support staff’s instructions caused my brand new iPad to become useless. I additionally request a 100% refund for the cost I paid for OnSong and Console. If I’m able I will make this request to Apple also. One more thing. In the OnSong reply to this review was a link to "contact the developer." That link does not provide any way to contact a developer. OnSong is irresponsible.
