Basic- but lacking some features – Squarespace Analytics Review
Yes- the app gives web site statistics. However, it’s good only for a general number of clicks. A lot of specifics aren’t available.
Let’s say a visitor clicks on a specific web page on your site a month ago. You can’t tell from stats which visitor clicked on it.
There’s a history problem. You also can’t tell how long they were on a page- or a succession of pages they clicked on.
Statcounter.com is good for this. Free, and $5 for a 1000 entries.
Another issue- one has to pay a lot extra to have JavaScript for other stat counting services. Ripoff. A less expensive hosting package doesn’t have it- it’s a premium item.
Squarespace is excellent for hosting sites. However, within the last few years, the normal percs are now premium.
Less expensive web hosting sites do include JS.
In summary- it’s adequate. Not great.
