Not 5 stars for me more a nice 2 – Delivery From the Pain:Survive Review

Ok I’ll cut to chase the 5 is so you’ll read this because let’s face it no one reads 2 star reviews, if you like zombie survival games where you are scavenging for supplies, one man or woman against the world, cutting down zombies with machete or a gun and it’s all a fast paced kill or be killed type of experience. Then turn around Now, because this is not it. We will discuss the plank of wood companion you get when you start this game an the in depth conversation you can have, amazing tile sets, the total lack of compelling loot (that you don’t get unless it suits the story to give it to you), and lastly how the game tells you to hurry the heck up because shame on you for waiting to explore IN A ZOMBIE GAME! 1) This game has a slow evolving story with plenty of flavorless dialogue, that will make you wish for death by zombie ?‍♂️ just to get out of it and move the story along. The companions although they seem interesting, if I have to listen to them talking for such a long period of time then by golly I want more dialogue options. An I can’t even remember the guys name, you know the important spec ops guy who saved your life and the one type of person we all wish we could be in these games but never get to. 2) Now the tile sets I will sum up like so small, constrained, and full of nothing! They look great and interesting to explore but there’s nothing to explore nothing pick up the story doesn’t already want you to have. An most of the rooms that look like they a lot places to store stuff HAVE ... you guessed it Nothing. 3) Loot well I’ll just say good luck finding anything that’s not directly required for the story. Oh an some tiles sets have fewer than 5 to 4 lootable locations with tons of empty space oh but they got two doors the entrance and exit, thanks thanks a lot. 4) Now we come to the thing that’s supposed to compel you out of fear to race through this amazingly detailed and exploitative tile set ..a timer... really that’s the best you can come up with? You give us an amazing looking watch to help keep track of time but you put a white emersion breaking tick down timer in the top center of the Hud/ screen. You could have done something creative like make the watch you gave us blink and maybe even have a alarm or something go off when it gets to close to 6pm. Okay well I am thankfully done here, Kelir Steel signing out.
