From best to worst quickly. – WarShip HD Review

This used to be a terrific game. I could work my way through the levels, improving my ships along the way. Even after I maxed out I returned for hours of play. This is the exact same game. The engine is there and it's wonderful. The problem is that they killed it with greed. I understand wanting folks to pay for faster upgrades and I'm all for that. After all, you make a good product and you should be rewarded. I gladly paid up to get ahead. The problem is that even after I PAID for the max amount of coins it was still impossible to move up. The reason is you need to buy incrementally more powerful ships to succeed. After 1 ship and upgrades you've advanced one, maybe two levels. The sale price of the ship doesn't come close to reimbursing you for the improvements you had to make to compete. Finally the kicker, it used to be time consuming to get booty to upgrade - but in the best way. Now, it's impossible to amass even a small amount of coins by playing - the deflation is so drastic that even the most hard-core gamer would give up after 30 min. So here is where greed has brought this game; you can't advance by paying and you can't advance by playing. Congratulations guys, you've literally priced your way out of the market. When they fix this upgrade path, I'll write a glowing review and give it back the five stars it had before.
