Almost there. – DigiStix Drummer AUv3 Plugin Review

Special high fives for AUv3 sequence arranger for you own kits -and super special high fives for the redundancies built into how to get your samples into a pad and the option of replacing or layering sounds and how multiple layered sounds will be triggered. I tend to default to Arturia iSpark for my staple beats with my own tweaked kits, but only because iMPC 1&2 have midi issues in most iOS DAWs, so I can’t help but compare this app to iSpark, which it immediately kills by how fast it loads. I wish it were a little more intuitively streamline - or I wish i had more time to make its UI second nature - either way I’ll have to give it more attention and get over the weird split in the interface. It is nice that the manual is right there at the bottom of the interface, but scrolling through to reach each part of the UI can be a pain in the ass - don’t know why, it just doesn’t always want to scroll down. Compared to the other sequence arrangers out there, I’d say 4/5 with definite potential for the full 5 just because of its AU status. There are crashes that have been consistent and annoying, but I’m sure like usual there’s a fix that I haven’t found yet short of reinstalling.
