The Best Way to Prepare a Social Media Post – Adobe Comp Review

Instagram and others only allow a certain page ratio so that the image displays well on the feed (for Instagram it’s 1.7777:1 to 1:1.25, or a landscape computer screen to an 8x10) so if you want to post something taller and skinnier than an 8x10 ratio like a standard 4x6, it will crop part of your photo. With Adobe Comp, you can take your photos and mount them on a solid color layer that is the correct size for social media and it won’t crop. For example, you could take that 4x6 and put it on an 8x10 matte. If you make the photo as tall as the matte, there will be some bars on the side, which is an unfortunate limitation if you want to post without cropping, but you can make those bars any color or pattern you want. You can make it work for you. I wish IG had a way for you to do this in app haha
