Purchasing characters with in game currency – Mortal Kombat Review

I had played this game for a while. Lost my characters due to not saving them which is understood and is my fault. But in the past you can purchase any character in the order that you wanted with in game currency. Now it only provides three characters at a time to purchase and they are random characters. How am I suppose to save for specific characters to purchase. This is important because challenges and other game play requires specific characters to be used. This needs to be changed back to the way it was!
