Your best shot for IOS music production – Auxy Studio Review

I’ve been using Auxy for about a year now and I can say I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. The interface is user friendly and intuitive. Creating a song with little music knowledge is easy due to its simple major/minor system that locks you into a key. For more experienced musicians an option to use a chromatic system exists as well when you click the note value button. What I love about auxy the most is it’s ability to alter the sounds it gives you. While they have endless options in their paid subscription, there is an equally endless amount of variability in alterations so low pass, high pass, chorus and more. Playing around with these features allows for the creation of effects you would hear in professional electronic songs. In my opinion auxys biggest drawback is its lack of a midi input. I would love to plug in my irig pro keyboard to my iPad and play notes out. Dragging in notes can be tedious despite its creative copy and paste system. Auxys new free move mode would allow for notes played that are not quite in time, and a quantization button could be created. Overall the drawback of auxy is that it takes a lot of time to get your ideas out, and even more produce a full track. I find myself using garage band more than auxy because of this feature. I would choose auxy sounds over garage band sounds in a heartbeat, I love the sound customization from auxy 10x more than GBs. But GB has a midi plugin and so I can play into it way easier. Anyway that’s my take. I hope y’all consider this for future updates.
