Can’t Find the Backup. – Contacts Backup + Transfer Review

I backed up my iPad contacts so that I could send them to my windows laptop. The program says they are backed up in some funny numbered store. No facility to select .csv or vCard format. The Help function was useless. I simply cannot find them. Grrrr
