Twitch Mobile: 1080p 60fps high-bitrate stream? Runs for hours without interruption. YouTube Mobile: 720p 30fps hyper-compressed video? Whoa there, cowboy, better freeze and re-buffer twenty random times even though you have the fiber speed to download the entire thing in under 5 seconds. It’s been this way for close to a decade, though, so don’t expect changes any time soon. Welcome to pseudo-monopolies, I guess.
