Enjoyable but frustrating – Pocket Mystery-Detective Game Review

This game is fun if you enjoy solving crimes scenes but it has major flaws that make it quite frustrating: -Poor translation. The English doesn’t make sense at points and actually directs you to choose incorrect answers. -Poor quality art for what is asked of you. Some of the challenges want you to identify something in the artwork that is nearly impossible to distinguish with the low level of detail in the image. -Endless clicking. Every time you guess incorrectly, it takes you to a new screen that you have to click through, and then click through the challenge text again before you get back to the image. -Obnoxious amount of ads. Probably every 2-3 guesses you have to wait for an ad to load, watch at least 8 seconds, click past it, then go to another ad screen for a few more seconds before you can get back. -The clues are nice if you get stuck, but be aware you only get 1 or 2 free uses, then it requires you to share the game on social media for each clue you need. Quite annoying, but you can just share it to a private Pinterest board and at least you won’t bother your friends.
