Early Review – Texifier : LaTeX editor Review

Very function Latex Editor. The experience is mostly great, I’ve encountered some bugs and quality-of-life issues. This app is certainly better than using an online application through Safari. I’ve encountered some rendering errors in the editor with newlines. Sometime a newline appears when I have typed no character and the selection caret gets locked. Backspacing and retyping the line reverses this. Also sometimes the PDF viewer fails to render the pdf on startup or when switching back to the app. Zooming in then back out fixes this issue. As far as quality of life, while I appreciate spellchecking the editor doesn’t differentiate spellings for some commands vs normal text. For example, the editor keeps telling me in the command “\begin{bmatrix}” that “bmatrix” is misspelled when it is simply a command. Otherwise I am enjoying the on-device Latex support and look forward to using it. I am using the app for writing math assignments, quizes, tests, and personal homework and it had no issue downloading the correct AMS packages I needed.
