Incredible, Powerful, Simple and Free! – nanoloop Review

Such a beautiful minimal appearance! The app designer should get a prize for how much functionality is packed into an uncluttered and easy to use interface. Completely usable on my tiny iPhone without any difficulty. Rest assured that it’s not a toy, though. I actually prefer this to more full featured sequencers because of the all in one interface design in which all note parameters can be adjusted from the main grid. ?? The learning curve was not too bad, even for me (I have the bad habit of refusing to look at any documentation). If there’s one tiny con, it’s that there is no way to get a satisfying drum sound easily, the ‘noise’ mode is okay for this, but a dedicated choice would have been nice. But ... for other instruments, it has both PWM and FM, and they can be layered! The decay shape is not changeable, but that would be another control, and perhaps it’s not worth it to clutter up such a clean interface. TLDR: Get it, spend some time with it, and you’ll love it!
